FAQ

FAQ’s

Not sure what to expect on a photo shoot? That’s OK, I’ve put together a little FAQ to help and take the pressure off!

Where do your sessions take place?

I’ve a studio at the house, about 3 mile from Omagh Co.Tyrone, Its great for newborns, children and families. For Couples and Some families we tend to shoot on location. This can be anywhere you like. I can also come to your home.

What if my child doesn’t like being photographed?

I leave plenty of time for every session. This allows us time for your child to warm up and get used to the idea of being photographed. If you think the studio is quite confined, you might consider an outdoor session. This gives your child the freedom to run around and be themselves. I’ve quite a lot of experience working with children and have picked up a lot of tricks over the years to help during your session.

How long do sessions take?

Family and maternity sessions last up to an hour.  Newborn sessions last anywhere from two to three hours.

What if it is giving bad weather?

This question comes up A LOT! The weather changes all the time so it is hard to predict. On the morning of the shoot, if it is very wet or windy we can reschedule or move to the studio if you wanted. We won’t reschedule for cloudy days or wet days. In this case we just bring a pair of wellies and wrap up warm.

What is the process for booking my session?

Fill out the form on my Contact page and  I will be in contact with you to decide on a date and time, Through a quick phone call or online discussion we will finalise all the details. A booking fee must be paid online to secure any bookings made.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I do! I understand that some prefer to pay in instalments. Just ask!

How many photos do you take during the shoot?

I couldn’t possibly say, it just depends on how well the shoot runs. Once all photos are taken I will go through a round of culling and discard any images that do not meet my quality standards. We only show the best!

How will I receive my digital images?

Through an online gallery or link via email.

How do I receive my final order?

These can be picked up from my house or posted out to your address. P&P charges may apply.

How soon do I need to book?

Newborns sessions book up quite quickly. I recommend booking around 30 weeks to ensure a date. We will provisionally book you in 7-19 days after your due date and if the baby comes earlier or later it is always possible to reschedule. For dates in October through to December I advice booking during summer months. Please contact me to check current availability.

Is it better to shoot at our home or at your studio?

It depends on your style and want you want. Most my newborns take place in the studio where I control the temperature and lighting, making it an ideal environment for newborns. Studio shots are traditional posed portraits with backdrops and props where as home shoots are more candid lifestyle photographs.

When do we pay?

The minimum package fee is due at the time of shoot. Any extra orders that you would like to purchase are paid for at time of ordering.

How soon will my images be ready?

I aim for 3 weeks for all digital images to be ready, prints and albums may take a little longer. It just depends on how busy I am.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Yes! A great gift idea. These can be made up to any limit and are valid for 6 months.
